Interested in how to apply your makeup? Ever wondered what tips and tricks you as a blind person can put to use and come out with a wonderful makeup look that any other who is sighted can do? Cool, join my group! I'll go step by step, explaining how to apply, where to apply, how to begin, etc. I'm also open for suggestions and questions. If I don't have an answer I'll be sure to research and ask my own sighted friends for their own opinions. I'm willing to work with everyone, every skintone, eyeshape, and eye color.I look forward to seeing you ladies in my facebook group.

hmm, interesting. thank you!
Wow, only one reply on this? I hope more people are discretely joining than are commenting.
To the post above. Why? Do you think that women should always wear makeup, or do you just wish more blind women would do so. I must admit some interest in learning how to do/improve upon a few things. But, I don't think women should have to wear makeup if they don't want to. Not all sighted women feel the need to, afterall. Thanks JOJ for this group!
Wolf, I do not think more women should wear make-up. I actually really don't like make-up to be honest. But I also know a lot of women and girls do, and that it is an art which I imagine would be pretty difficult for someone without some decent sight. Thus, I was surprised there was less interest than was present here.
Smells weird; don't like it; don't wear it.
I naturally look young. I do need to work on my weight, however. And, I have to be careful of allergies, so I'd have to buy Mary K., and she costs way beyond my budget.
Thank you, anyway. The offer is nice. And, the thoughtfulness is nice, too.
Blessings,
Sarah
I agree with Voyager. I won't touch makeup, can't stand the feel of it on my skin.
I'm not sure if it's the same person/group, but seems I've been seeing a lot of mentions of this sort of thing, lately. Hmm.
Sarah, there are plenty of other companies besides MK that have hypoalergenic makeup. Just google it. And Remy, thanks for clearing that up!
I'm too afraid that, even with good practice, I'd still mess it up. And I can't double check in the mirror. I'd rather wear no make-up at all than go out with it messed up. Make-up is a choice. I don't think I'd spend time on it daily, but it might be nice if my skin is having a bad day, or if I want to feel pretty for a special dinner. Make-up making you feel pretty is also a choice, I'm not saying make-up equals pretty. I think it's a control issue. I can control whether my face is clean. I can feel whether my skin is smooth, or if my eyes are tired/puffy. I can't control if I've smeared foundation all weird, or if something isn't blended in correctly color-wise.
Yup, I hate the way that feels on my face.
the only thing I would like to learn how to use is lip gloss. I could never get it to look right.
Really? That's the easiest thing to put on. That's the only thing I use. lol
Makeup can really enhance how a woman looks.
Some men now wear it to a point.
A foundation of good clean skin makes makeup even better.
We have a host of products that help and heal the skin, not cover the bad skin days. That is makeup too.
I don't see it as a control thing, I see it as an individual choice.
I can however understand if a blind woman has never seen, how she'd feel makeup just has no point.
I also agree that badly applied is worse then nothing at all.
The better products don't smell odd. I do know exactly what Voyager means. They don't have that scent.
